Prior to Sunday’s match against Arsenal, Ange Postecoglou gave an update on squad news during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.
For the North London derby, the visitors will probably be missing Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, and skipper Martin Ødegaard. Spurs are trying to win the match for the first time since May 2022.
After suffering their first loss of the Premier League season at Newcastle United last time out, Tottenham is seeking to recover as best they can.
Although Arsenal hasn’t lost yet this season, they did give up their first defeat prior to the international break when they were pushed to a 1-1 draw at home against Brighton.
As per standard procedure, the media is notified of the Spurs first team roster’s availability prior to their matchup with Mikel Arteta’s team.
Micky van de Ven was not there for Newcastle’s loss.
For their most recent match, Radu Dragusin started in place of central defender Micky van de Ven, who was sidelined for Tottenham.
Dominic Solanke is back in training and might make an appearance as well.
Postecoglou stated, “It’s fairly positive,” on the Spurs’ official website. Micky is in good shape; he trained diligently throughout the international break, and his time with us helped him regain his strength and prepare for action.
Dom has also gotten better and worked out over the latter part of this week. With those individuals, we still have two days left, so hopefully they make it through training without incident and are accessible.
