Benja Cremaschi, a product of Inter Miami’s academy, has committed to stay in South Beach until 2027.
Inter Miami announced on Monday that 19-year-old midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi, who was signed by the Herons as a homegrown academy player in 2022, has committed his future to the MLS team.
For the senior team, Cremaschi has made 59 appearances in all competitions, tallying nine assists and six goals.
This summer, the Argentine-American decided to compete for the United States men’s U23 squad, choosing to go to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as an American representative. He was the youngest player on the team for the competition, starting two games off the bench.
He is contracted with the Herons through 2027, with a 2028 team option.
“Benja is a remarkable example of domestic success for our developmental route, and we are forward to deepen our shared dedication in the years to come. “His future seems incredibly bright, and we anticipate him continuing to contribute to Inter Miami CF,” stated Chris Henderson, the sporting director and chief soccer officer of Miami.
“It’s a great accomplishment to sign this deal and know I’ll be staying at Inter Miami,” the player said. Cremaschi remarked, “I’m just glad to be able to represent this city. “Everything has been helpful to me, including the First Team, Inter Miami CF II, and the Academy.” Clearly, my goal is to motivate more young people like me by working hard on the field for myself, the people around me, and this city.
Miami and the 19-year-old return to MLS play on Wednesday when they take on Atlanta United. Then, over the weekend, there is a match against NYCFC.
