Although there is a devoted fan base for country music, it is nothing compared to Taylor Swift’s army of admirers. As one of the biggest current artists in the genre, Swifties are not to be trifled with. Following an inappropriate tweet regarding Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, Zach Bryan suddenly canceled his X account. Bryan’s platinum album of the same name peaked at No. 1 in both the United States and Canada.

Bryan probably intended the tweet to appear as a harmless joke, but it infuriated Swift’s massive fan base, and he ended up deleting his account rather than deal with the ongoing criticism he was receiving.

Another said, “He knew better than to tamper with the Swifties.” A third said, “‘Who’s with me’ ‘8 reposts’ so just about no one.” Another user commented, “Mad because Taylor WASHES him when it comes to the country genre.”

“Said something contentious and became agitated when others criticized him. Goodbye,” yelled a another user. Bryan received a lot of flak for his criticism of Swift, but his assertion that the Eagles are superior to the Chiefs is equally unfounded. After an ugly last-minute loss to the Atlanta Falcons on “Monday Night Football,” Philly is now 1-1, while the Chiefs have won two straight games against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals to get to 2-0.
