The roster for Leeds United’s Championship match against Cardiff City this afternoon has been revealed.
For this afternoon’s Championship match at Cardiff City, Whites manager Daniel Farke has only made one alteration to his Leeds United squad—a top player who was unable to recover from an injury.

With Dan James already out due to a hamstring injury, doubts were raised about Manor Solomon (back), Joe Rodon (glute), Joe Rothwell (ankle), and Junior Firpo (knee).

Since joining Leeds on a season-long loan from Tottenham, Solomon has started every game for the club. However, the winger is not included in the Whites’ squad in South Wales, while Largie Ramazani, a summer acquisition, makes his debut for the Whites.

However, Rothwell sits on the bench with summer additions Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt, while Rodon and Firpo both start. In the team’s 1-0 loss to Burnley at home last weekend, Tanaka and Ramazani were utilized as second-half substitutes; fellow newcomer Schmidt did not play.

During the pregame press conference on Thursday, Farke disclosed that Max Wober and Patrick Bamford had returned to training following recent injuries. However, Wober, like James and Solomon, will not be playing; only Bamford will start.

Cardiff manager Erol Bulut has made two changes to his team, starting summer acquisition Will Fish in the first game. Ollie Tanner joins the XI as well. With just one point from their first five games, the club at the bottom of the division is led by Dimitrios Goutas and Anwar El Ghazi, who sit on the bench.

Alnwick, Ng, Chambers, Fish, Bagan, Siopis, Ralls, R Colwill, O’Dowda, Tanner, and Kanga are the players for Cardiff City. Horvath, Goutas, Collins, El Ghazi, Robertson, Turnbull, Ashford, Willock, and Robertson are the substitutes.

Leeds United: Aaronson, Joseph, Gruev, Gnonto, Ramazani, Firpo, Ampadu, Bogle, Rodon, and Struijk. Darlow, Debayo, Schmidt, Byram, Crew, Rothwell, Tanaka, Piroe, and Bamford are the substitutes.
