Jahan Dotson has made just one catch on two targets since joining the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the start of the regular season.
Dotson’s start in Philadelphia has always appeared delayed, given that he is playing with excellent players at his position and quarterback Jalen Hurts is still developing connection with him.
That doesn’t mean the Eagles believe they lost the trade at this time. Dotson’s unique combination of size and speed should benefit the squad later in the season as teams look for methods to contain both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
In Smith’s instance, he is one of the guys on the squad who is least concerned about Dotson.
“I’ve been a big fan of his since college (at Penn State),” Smith recalled. “So just going out there and asking him what he would do and how he envisions certain things. We picked each other’s brains. We’re similar in style, so it’s simple to relate to them.”
