The NFL’s most skilled rosters include the San Francisco 49ers. Several people thought they would be strong candidates for a Super Bowl title this season because of this and the fact that they are the reigning NFC Champions.

Regretfully, the 49ers boast one of the best rosters in the league, but they also have one of the most injured groups. Star running back Christian McCaffrey is on injured reserve right now and hasn’t played in a game this year.

McCaffrey is not the only San Francisco star sidelined due to injury; George Kittle and Deebo Samuel also missed the 49ers’ 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Additionally, it appears that quarterback Brock Purdy is not feeling well.

Purdy had a back injury during San Francisco’s Sunday loss to the Rams, per head coach Kyle Shanahan. After ruling out any serious injuries on Monday, an MRI, the Pro Bowl quarterback is now regarded as day-to-day.

For the 49ers, who are currently 1-2 and in dire need of a positive development, this is undoubtedly wonderful news. Unfortunately, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave of San Francisco is out for the season with a torn tricep, as can be seen in Ian Rapoport’s post above.

The 49ers’ next game, against the pitiful New England Patriots, is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. At that point, it is hoped that Purdy will be well enough to play.
