Wrexham midfielder George Dobson has impressed since joining on a free transfer this summer.

Dobson was one of Wrexham’s nine summer recruits, and he is possibly the most crucial, along with Arthur Okonkwo.

The 26-year-old has been in every minute of their seven League One games thus far, and Dobson stands out as one of the division’s best defensive midfielders.

Dobson, who is responsible for breaking up play at the base of midfield and displaying his outstanding passing range, got his second assist of the season on Saturday, as Max Cleworth’s late goal clinched a win over Crawley Town.

The former Charlton Athletic captain put in a brilliantly whipped cross, demonstrating his ability to do magic in addition to his outstanding defensive effort.
