Kareem Hunt, a former standout running back, will be able to formally join the Chiefs in Week 4 against the Chargers once they activate him and waive Keaontay Ingram.

Hunt’s inclusion in the 53-man roster was anticipated, and it has finally happened. Against a diminished Chargers squad on Sunday, he will make his victorious comeback for Kansas City; nonetheless, Ingram was the odd man out in favor of Hunt.

Ingram did not record a statistic in Week 3 and had only been raised the previous week. He is anticipated to return to the practice squad.

Chiefs Waive Keaontay Ingram to Promote Kareem Hunt.

Hunt’s comeback is the central plot point. Since his release following an episode of domestic violence and ownership dishonesty, a large number of followers have been calling for this reunion. Hunt’s reputation has improved over the years to the point that Kansas City felt confident enough to invite him back.

Especially after a productive performance against the Falcons, Carson Steele ought to stick as the starting quarterback. However, Hunt’s dual-threat potential is undeniable, and he could soon take over as the backfield leader.

The Chiefs’ running back room remains unclear due to Isiah Pacheco’s injury. Hunt’s role is unclear because Steele is the early-down back and Samaje Perine controls passing downs. Before maybe being let loose in Week 5, it appears likely that he will have a few touches in Week 4.

Week 6, when the Chiefs have a bye, is when everything will be thoroughly assessed. For the time being, Hunt returns to Kansas City and has an opportunity to excel.
