Nottingham Forest have made a strong start to the 2024/25 Premier League season, collecting nine points from five games.

Surprisingly, the Reds have drawn their first two games at the City Ground, against Bournemouth and Wolves.

Away from home, things have been fantastic. Wins over Southampton and Liverpool were followed by a credible point against Brighton on Sunday.

Forest return to home comforts this weekend as Fulham visit Trentside, hoping to extend their unbeaten start to the season.

The Reds appear to be on the right track under Nuno Espirito Santo, and it appears that the team will be able to have a strong start this season.

What Premier League club does Evangelos Marinakis want Forest to be like?
Before the game with Brighton, the excellent Tom Collomosse of the Daily Mail wrote a piece that revealed some behind-the-scenes Forest details.

Mariankis was one of the issues discussed, and it’s fair to say that in his tenure as manager of the club, he’s learnt from some of his prior mistakes.

According to the most recent source, Marinakis regards Aston Villa as a model, as the West Midlands team qualified for the Champions League last season.

They qualified for the Conference League four years after winning promotion from the Championship, and Marinakis wants Forest to compete in European competitions as well.

Forest aren’t thinking about European football just yet, but following a great start to the season, a good run of success may swiftly shift expectations.

Marinakis deserves much respect for Forest work.
Errors have probably occurred in the past. If Forest had been relegated last season after a four-point deduction, the club’s hierarchy would have had to bear the consequences.

Signing 30 players after winning promotion was not ideal, but Marinakis learned a lot from the experience.
