According to reports, Rayan Cherki, a 21-year-old French offensive midfielder, is West Ham United’s top objective during the January transfer window.
West Ham United is reportedly interested in Rayan Cherki, according to a report by the Spanish publication Fichajes. The Lyon offensive midfielder has been designated by the Hammers as their top transfer target for the January transfer window. The Ligue 1 team, meanwhile, will ask for almost €30 million in order to let go of the 21-year-old prodigy in the upcoming months.
The tale of Rayan Cherki
In the past several years, Rayan Cherki has emerged as one of Ligue 1’s most promising young players. The Frenchman, a native of Lyon, joined Lyon in July 2010 after starting his youth career with AS Saint-Priest. He has advanced significantly since then, particularly after joining the first team.
Cherki joined Lyon’s senior squad in December 2019 at the age of 16, and he has been a member of the team ever since. The 21-year-old has played for Les Gones about 150 times so far, contributing 19 goals and 25 assists.
