TEAMtalk reports that the Aston Villa striker, who has been linked with Chelsea and West Ham, is now valued at £80 million.

According to the news site on October 3, given his headline-making goal against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on October 2 and his value to Unai Emery, the valuation might be close to £100 million.

The Hammers attempted to finalise a deal for the Colombian striker in the summer and then sought to pay roughly £35 million [HITC], but he did not transfer to the London Stadium.

West Ham cannot afford to purchase Aston Villa’s striker Jhon Duran.
The 20-year-old, who is currently valued between £80 and £100 million, appears financially unsustainable considering their transfer plan and previous purchases.

The purchase of Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund not only fills the club’s need for a forward, but also signifies a strategic shift toward balancing squad depth without overinvesting in a particular position.

Fullkrug’s acquisition, aimed at increasing their offensive alternatives, effectively lessens the need for another high-profile striker, particularly one at such a hefty price.

West Ham’s previous appraisal of the player at about £35 million during the summer transfer window demonstrates their reluctance to fulfill the substantially higher expectations today.
