There has been an Eddie Howe Everton press conference.

The head coach of Newcastle United, addressing to the media prior to the game at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Eddie Howe and the team are looking to build on their strong showing against Manchester City, as well as the cup victory on Tuesday, when the NUFC manager made eight changes.

Three points on Saturday would certainly put United in a strong position ahead of the international break.

Eddie Howe about the previous week:

“This week has gone well.

“The Manchester City performance showed us what we are capable of when we are at our best.

“After that, we also had a result against AFC Wimbledon.”

“So, yes, this game is now the center of everything.”

Eddie Howe on his home-and-away game:

“What has helped us so much at home is the adrenaline the audience gives us to push, the sense of whether a player goes or not.

“Away from home, it’s not the same.

From a tactical standpoint, it all comes down to how we deliver and execute.

“It just involves doing things effectively.”

Eddie Howe’s squad news prior to the Everton match:

“Alex Isak won’t play in the match. We’re hoping he’ll rejoin Callum Wilson for the match following the international break.

“Fabian Schär, Nick Pope, and Kieran Trippier ought to be alright.

“Martin Dźbravka’s knee took a nasty blow, but it won’t be serious.”

Eddie Howe questioned the team’s protracted deliberation about whether to attempt to renovate St. James’ Park or construct a brand-new stadium elsewhere:

“I always automatically choose to remain at St. James’ Park.

“We are aware that we need to increase our revenues, but it feels a little bit like a betrayal to think about moving somewhere else after it has served us so well.”

Eddie Howe on the one year anniversary of that 4-1 win over PSG:

“That game will always serve as the standard for what a night at St. James’ Park should look like.

“It was an incredible evening; the ambiance was unparalleled.”

It is one of the major highlights of the recollection.

“Obviously, we want that memory to last a long time, but we also want to make new memories.”
