We can now reveal the release date for the second installment of a new documentary series that Netflix launched back in July, following American gymnast Simone Biles as she trained for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. On October 25, “Simone Biles: Rising” will be live globally on Netflix, following the athlete throughout this year’s Olympic Games.

As we saw in Part One, Simone’s narrative began in 2020 when the gymnast withdrew from multiple competitions at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, particularly because she was the obvious favorite for multiple gold medals. Nevertheless, Biles was having mental health issues at the same period. She made the decision to drop out of the tournament rather than push herself to the limit. After four years, Biles still has unresolved matters, and the series provides a close-up view of the narrative that led up to it all.

In Part 2, Simone Biles Rising chronicles her incredible journey to become the most decorated gymnast in history, from her competition at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials to her official qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Team to her amazing performances in Paris. Intimate access to Biles is given in these episodes as she wins three gold medals and one silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
