A couple of important Eagles returned to practice at the NovaCare Complex on Friday ahead of their game against the Giants on Sunday in North Jersey.
Jalen Carter (shoulder) and Darius Slay (knee) returned to practice on Friday morning after missing the previous session on Thursday. During the brief section of practice open to reporters, both crucial players wore helmets and stretched alongside the rest of the team.
That’s wonderful news, according to what Nick Sirianni said on Friday morning.
“I’m hoping all these guys are ready to go but we’ll see how it goes,” Sirianni told the crowd. “Today is going to tell a lot.”
Slay suffered a knee injury during the game on Sunday and was forced to leave early. He was limited on Wednesday.
Jordan Mailata (hamstring) and Dallas Goedert (hamstring) did not practice for the third day in a row and were just present as spectators. The Eagles have already stated that Mailata will be out for “a couple weeks,” and it appears that Goedert will also miss Sunday. Both are likely to be ruled out later in the day.
The other players who did not practice on Friday were CB Eli Ricks (groin) and DT Byron Young (hamstring). Ricks also missed Thursday because Young was limited.
DT Milton Williams (ankle) and LB Oren Burks (groin) resumed practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Williams skipped the first day of practice this week.
On Thursday, all four players were designated as full participants. Sydney Brown (knee); OLB
