Albion are willing to take their time to appoint the right successor to Carlos Corberan – with owners Bilkul Football looking to build on the foundations of their strategy.
The group, led by chairman Shilen Patel, face their biggest decision in 10 months as Albion owners after Corberan’s sudden departure for Valencia on Christmas Eve.
Bilkul’s chief executive and sporting director Andrew Nestor will lead the search for the club’s next head coach as the owners look to continue the consistent approach and strategy based on data and analytics they began working to during the summer.
Albion have been flooded with interest in the vacant role but are focused on a methodical and detailed search. Progress has been made during the Christmas period but club chiefs are not focused on a speedy appointment, more reaching the correct conclusion.
