The near-unanimous 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year made the jump from the college to professional game with relative ease. That being said, there were certainly some growing pains in her first few WNBA games.
Clark was forced to deal with a new level of physicality at the professional level, taking several big hits from veteran players in the early stages of her debut WNBA campaign.

New Fever head coach Stephanie White made that abundantly clear during a recent interview with The Athletic.
“She is stronger, first and foremost,” White said. “She’s got a lot of self-awareness. She figured out right away that ‘I need to get stronger, I can’t get knocked around as much.’ She’s done a great job of getting in the weight room and focusing on her strength, in terms of low center of gravity, time under tension, all of those things.”
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game in her rookie season with the Fever, leading the franchise to its first postseason appearance since 2016.
The Fever are expected to make a deep playoff run in 2025 after making several key offseason acquisitions, adding Natasha Howard, DeWanna Bonner, Sydney Colson and Brianna Turner. The team also re-signed All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell and traded for Sophie Cunningham.
The Fever will tipoff their 2025 WNBA regular season with a matchup against the Chicago Sky on May 17.
