Netflix has announced an upcoming documentary titled “The Heart of the Buckeyes: A Journey Through Team and Band,” set to premiere in 2025. This film will provide an in-depth look at the Ohio State Buckeyes’ 2024 championship season, focusing on quarterback Will Howard’s leadership and the unique synergy between the football team and the university’s marching band.

The 2024 Ohio State Buckeyes football team, under the leadership of head coach Ryan Day, achieved a remarkable 14–2 record. Their season culminated in a national championship victory over Notre Dame, securing their ninth national title.

Quarterback Will Howard played a pivotal role throughout the season, demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership. In the national championship game, he completed 17 of 21 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 59 yards. His performance was instrumental in Ohio State’s 34–23 victory over Notre Dame.

The documentary will also highlight the Ohio State Marching Band, renowned for its precision and powerful performances. Known as “The Best Damn Band in the Land,” the band has been a symbol of school spirit and tradition, contributing significantly to the university’s athletic events and campus life.

By focusing on both the football team and the marching band, “The Heart of the Buckeyes” aims to showcase the unique synergy between these two groups and their collective impact on the university’s culture and success. The documentary promises to offer viewers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at one of the most iconic college football programs in the United States
