The NFL’s official X page decided to hype up the 2025 NFL Combine in Indianapolis by sharing a throwback clip of Jason Kelce’s outstanding performance months before he was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. The video of Kelce’s 2011 NFL Combine performance has left fans in awe, showcasing just how quick and athletic the former center was before starting a legendary career that saw him become a Super Bowl champion.

The foundation for Kelce’s NFL career was laid by his athletic performance at the Combine. He had a 1.76-second 10-yard split, a 4.14-second 20-yard shuttle, and an amazing 4.93-second 40-yard sprint time. Additionally, he recorded a 9’2″ broad jump and a 30.5-inch vertical jump.

With a total score of 75, Kelce placed 10th in his class overall, but his athleticism score of 98 was the highest among his peers.

Rewinding to 2011, when an underappreciated prospect named Jason Kelce stole the show at the Combine, was the description for the NFL’s post.

Fans swiftly took to social media to express their amazement at Kelce’s speed and agility, given his position as a center, despite the fact that he was tasked with blocking and weighed at least 295 pounds during his professional career—weight that is not often linked with quickness.

Despite being the 191st overall pick in the draft, his Combine performance made it clear he had the potential to succeed at the highest level and subsequently the Eagles took a chance on Kelce, selecting him out of Cincinnati in the sixth round.

What followed was a remarkable 13-year career in Pennsylvania, during which he became one of the most decorated centers in NFL history. He earned six First-Team All-Pro selections, seven Pro Bowl nods, and played a pivotal role in securing the Eagles’ first-ever Super Bowl victory in 2017.

After he eventually retired at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 season, Kelce joined ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown crew and made a smooth transition into the media.

The Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his brother co-host the wildly popular New Heights podcast, which has grown to be one of the best sports podcasts on the market right now.
