Kyle Juszczyk‘s wife has hit out at the San Francisco 49ers after the NFL franchise suddenly dropped her husband.
Juszczyk has been released by the 49ers as oart of a mass exodus of players from the team. The fullback has been in San Francisco since 2018 and earned a Pro Bowl nod in each of his eight seasons there.
Kristin Juszczyk has been in the public eye before thanks to making custom jackets from jerseys for players, and she even made one for Taylor Swift in the past.
She has reacted in an unusual way to the news that her husband has been dropped, by posting a picture of their dog pulling an unimpressed face with the caption ‘mood’.
In the 49ers’ final game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals, Juszczyk was asked about his future and it seemed he had every intention of playing in 2025.
“I know I’m not done,” he said (via ESPN) “I’m definitely not done playing. I’ve seen zero regression. I think especially, I mean, you can turn on the last two games and please show me where I’ve regressed, so I have no plans of stopping.
“I want to win a ring. I want to win a ring here,” he said. “But again, if I’m forced to do it somewhere else, I’ve still got so much football left in me. I still love the game so much. I’m still playing at a high level and I know there’s teams out there that can use me.”
There are plenty of NFL teams that could do with a fullback during this offseason but there are currently no credible links between him and other teams, meaning the veteran finds himself at a real crossroads in his career that he clearly did not expect.
