Seahawks Host Former Wisconsin Badgers Offensive Lineman on Free-Agent Visit
The Seattle Seahawks are exploring potential reinforcements for their offensive line, hosting former Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Josh Seltzner for a free-agent visit, according to league sources.
Seltzner, a 6’4″, 310-pound interior lineman, went undrafted in 2022 after a strong career at Wisconsin, where he was a key part of the Badgers’ dominant rushing attack. Known for his physicality and toughness in the trenches, he spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots but has yet to make his NFL regular-season debut.
The Seahawks have been evaluating options to bolster their O-line depth, particularly at guard, where competition is expected behind projected starters Anthony Bradford and Christian Haynes. Seltzner’s experience in a run-heavy scheme at Wisconsin could make him a developmental fit in Seattle’s offense under OC Ryan Grubb, who values physical, mauling blockers.
If signed, Seltzner would likely compete for a backup role or a practice squad spot in training camp. Seattle has been proactive in adding undrafted and low-cost linemen, seeking to improve a unit that has undergone significant changes this offseason.
Stay tuned for updates on whether the Seahawks move forward with a contract offer.
