The Kentucky Wildcats have already made their first splash in the transfer portal by adding wing Kam Williams. It’s a nice addition, but Mark Pope might be close to landing another good one in big man Reed Bailey.
Per Jamie Shaw of Kentucky Sports Radio (subscription required), the Wildcats have reached out to Bailey, and are the team to watch. He would be a terrific fit in Mark Pope’s offense.
Last season was a very good one for the 6’11” forward. In his third season at Davidson, he averaged 18.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and nearly 4 assists per game. He also made 41% of his shots from three-point range. His ability to stretch the floor would be valuable at Kentucky.
Bailey will have a number of offers from top programs, so a decision may not be imminent. Fans should keep an eye on this one, though.
