Notre Dame fans are not happy with a 2025 schedule announcement on Monday.

The Fighting Irish will be playing the majority of their games on NBC in 2025. However, due to NBC’s association with Peacock, Marcus Freeman’s team will have to play a game on the streaming platform this fall, too.

Notre Dame announced on Sunday which game will be the Peacock game for the 2025 schedule. It’s a big one.

The Fighting Irish, who are expected to open the season ranked in the top 10, will be taking on Boise State on October 4. It’ll be the game streamed on Peacock.

Notre Dame fans are not happy with the 2025 schedule announcement.

“I understand they have to pick something. But that’s a pretty good game,” one fan wrote.

“Conference affiliations aside, wouldn’t Boise coming off a CFP appearance be a better draw for linear TV than NC State or Purdue?” one fan added.

“Peacock game is extremely annoying,” one fan added.

Won’t be watching Boise. Voting with my wallet. I already spend a fortune on the channels I do get. The more ppl pony up to this nonsense the more games they will move to alt channels and streaming,” one fan added.

“So Boise State’s 2 biggest non-conference games the last 2 years (Oregon and Notre Dame) both air on Peacock. Apparently NBC sees the value of the Boise State brand when competing against Oregon/ND to help drive people to Peacock,” one fan added.

“This really sucks for Boise State fans,” one fan added.

“This absolutely sucks for Boise State, the second year in a row that their biggest game is the only one that is hidden away off of television,” one fan added.

For the second season in a row, a marquee Boise State road game will air exclusively on Peacock,” one fan added.
