The NFL draft is almost here, with just a few more days to go before it starts. Many NFL teams are finalizing draft boards as we await the first round to begin.
As always, there is a lot of smoke around different teams possibly drafting players. It’s a good tactic for teams to try and sway others not to take the player that they really want.
One name that has caught fire of late is running back Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty has been seeing his name rise up draft boards as we get closer to the draft.
Many expect him to be taken in the top 10, but which team he goes to remains a massive mystery. But NFL draft expert Mel Kiper just announced a big update on the Las Vegas Raiders’ level of interest in Jeanty.
“If (Ashton) Jeanty is there, I would be shocked if they didn’t take him. If he’s gone, (Missouri OT) Armand Membou.”
If the Raiders were to take Jeanty, it could be a game-changer for the offense. Jeanty was special with Boise State last season, helping the Broncos reach the College Football Playoff.
Score big savings on furniture, home essentials, kitchenware, patio sets, and tech.
The running back put up 2,601 yards on the ground, with 29 touchdowns. Jeanty couldn’t be stopped in college last season, and he will be looking to bring that same level of production to the NFL.
The Raiders could use a player like him, and head coach Pete Carroll has typically enjoyed having strong running back play. Jeanty could be a good fit in Las Vegas, and we should know in a few days if the interest is real
