Mehdi Taremi Transfer from Inter to Leeds United

Leeds United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Mehdi Taremi. Inter Milan are looking to move him on as they reshape their attacking department. Journalist Graeme Bailey reported that intermediaries have put Taremi’s name forward to Leeds as a possible summer addition. Leeds are not totally discounting the offer, acknowledging Taremi as a high-caliber player available for transfer. Inter Milan wants to move him on to have another attempt at signing Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.

Mehdi Taremi is being targeted by English clubs, including Leeds, who are ready to pay between 8 and 10 million euros, which is the asking price from Inter. Taremi wishes to remain in Europe to secure an important contract at the age of 33. Inter aims to monetize his arrival on a free transfer and relieve themselves of his 3 million euros per year contract, expiring in June 2027.

The latest edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Leeds, having recently been promoted to the Premier League, has expressed interest in Mehdi Taremi and made inquiries about him. The transfer fee for Taremi is said to be eight million euros. Taremi, who joined Inter the previous summer with high hopes, has found it challenging to make a notable impact due to the strong performances of Lautaro and Thuram in the starting lineup. Nevertheless, he was able to provide nine assists, although he only netted three goals in 43 appearances across various competitions last season. As he seeks new opportunities, there is also interest in him from Fulham and West Ham in England, in addition to Besiktas in Turkey.
