A deal for Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl was at risk of collapse. Freelance journalist Sam Cohen claims that a third bid from Rangers has resulted in significant progress. A deal valued at €7.8m (£6.6m) is now reportedly active again. There is uncertainty surrounding the situation, but the move could proceed.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl has agreed personal terms with Rangers. According to GiveMeSport journalist Sam Cohen, Derek McInnes has fully convinced Hjerto-Dahl to sign for the club over rivals this summer. Cohen reports that with personal terms agreed, a club-to-club agreement is close and is the next step. The journalist also states that Hjerto-Dahl only wants to join Rangers and has indicated that Ibrox is his preferred destination.

Reporter Lars Eidissen said the interest from Rangers in Jens Hjertø-Dahl is more firm. However, Rangers’ pursuit appears to be fading as they are about to sign Partizan captain Vanja Dragojevic for £4m, which would take their total of central midfielders to 11.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl has been a long-term target for Rangers. According to Record Sport, a move to Ibrox is close to collapsing, and the situation now favours a transfer to Wales.
