A social-media claim alleging that former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp has made a shocking statement about his late son, Luey Jacob Sharp, and his relationship with Jade Fair has been circulating online.
However, there is no reliable evidence that Billy Sharp recently made such an announcement, and the allegation should not be presented as confirmed fact.
In fact, established reports provide a very different account of Luey Jacob Sharp. Billy Sharp and Jade Fair welcomed Luey in October 2011, but tragically, Luey died only two days after his birth after suffering from gastroschisis.
Sharp later spoke publicly about the devastating loss and famously dedicated a goal to his son shortly after Luey’s death. He and Jade also established the Luey Jacob Sharp Foundation in his memory, supporting families affected by gastroschisis.
The new allegation involving Jade and an unnamed former Sheffield United player is therefore unverified. There is currently no credible source supporting the claim that Billy Sharp announced that Luey was not his biological child or that Jade had been unfaithful.
