Boston Celtics have reportedly completed a sensational deal to sign talented defender William Saliba, in a move that has sent shockwaves across the sporting world.
The Celtics are said to have reached an agreement for the highly rated French centre-back, adding another major name to their squad in what would represent one of the most unexpected sporting transfers of the year.
Saliba, widely regarded as one of the top young defenders in world football, has built a reputation for his strength, composure, pace and ability to read the game. The French international has established himself at the highest level with Arsenal and has continued to attract attention because of his defensive quality.
The reported agreement would represent a huge statement of ambition from Boston. Supporters would undoubtedly be excited by the possibility of seeing a player of Saliba’s calibre join the organisation, although the unusual cross-sport nature of the move would make the deal particularly remarkable.
