A shocking claim circulating online has suggested that FC Porto manager Francesco Farioli has been dismissed from his position, sparking major reactions among supporters.

However, there is currently no reliable confirmation that Farioli has been sacked. In fact, recent reports indicate that he remains FC Porto’s manager. Farioli guided Porto to the 2025–26 Primeira Liga title and also won the Portuguese Super Cup in August 2026.

The Italian coach arrived at Porto in July 2025 and quickly established himself as an important figure at the club. His successful first season led to a contract extension in January 2026, with his deal reportedly running until 2028.

The sensational “sacked indefinitely” claim therefore appears to be unverified rather than an official FC Porto announcement. Supporters should be cautious about social-media posts using dramatic headlines designed to encourage people to click “See More.”

Unless FC Porto officially announces a change, Farioli should still be regarded as the club’s head coach.
