Reportedly, Leeds United has shown interest in Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Wolves and Crystal Palace are apparently also interested, with Palace now regarded as the favorites to capture the Nigerian international, according to TEAMtalk. Leeds wants to sign a contract with the talented defender in January, increasing rivalry for his talents.
Leeds is thinking about strengthening some areas, especially at full-back, as the club gets closer to the January transfer window, as evidenced by their interest in Bright Osayi-Samuel. Daniel Farke, the 49ers manager, and the team’s ownership seem to have recognized areas where the roster may use some bolstering.
Daniel Farke’s fast attacking style complements Osayi-Samuel’s versatility as a full-back after he made the switch from a tricky winger. Leeds could improve their attacking capabilities even more with the arrival of a player like Osayi-Samuel, given their recent outstanding performances.
With Djed Spence’s strong post-injury performances, Leeds United’s worries about their left back appear to have diminished. Given Archie Gray’s impressive performance on the other side, a January loan move might be a more sensible course of action. Leeds may face additional challenges in their chase due to competition from Wolves and Crystal Palace, who both offer immediate access to the Premier League.
The winger, who is now a full-back, was a member of Queens Park Rangers in the Championship from 2017 to 2021, so if a move does happen, he is used to playing in the EFL.
