The impact of Philippe Clement, which is “beyond their wildest dreams,” has the Rangers directors delighted.

According to insiders who spoke to Football Insider, the Rangers board is delighted with the progress manager Philippe Clement has made since taking over and feels they have their own Jurgen Klopp in charge.

Michael Beale was replaced by Clement in October 2023 after the Giants’ 2023–24 season got off to a rough start.

Rangers and Celtic, led by Brendan Rodgers, are now tied for first place in the Scottish Premiership standings. Starting next month, Rangers will participate in the Europa League knockout stage.

In December, the Gers defeated Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup final as well.

Football Insider has learned from a reliable source that Clement’s influence in the Ibrox hot seat has beyond the club executives’ expectations, as evidenced by the four-year contract they gave him.

Particularly impressing the Rangers board are the Belgian’s tactical input, leadership, and network of relationships.

Sources have also praised Clement’s “connection” with the fans and his ability to express himself to the media and players in a clear and concise manner.

The source continued, “There are hints of Jurgen Klopp there.” Klopp is the manager of Liverpool and is regarded as one of the most captivating figures in sports.

Throughout his 23 games in command of Rangers, Clement, who has previously won league titles with Club Brugge and KRC Genk, has only lost one, a 2-1 loss on the road at Celtic Park in December.

However, following their 2-1 victory over Aberdeen on Tuesday, the Ibrox club is currently tied for first place with its Old Firm opponents. (6 February).

The Gers’ next matchup with Celtic is set for April 6; this match has the potential to make or break their title hopes.
