Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney delivers hilarious five-word reaction after watching Paul Mullin

After Paul Mullin’s incredible first-half hat-trick against Accrington Stanley, Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney remarked that Mullin is “back to fitness”.

Consequently, what happened?
The Red Dragons dominated John Coleman’s team, jumping out to a dominating four-goal lead in the first half. After just 17 minutes, Mullin started the scoring frenzy by heading home a superb cross from Ryan Barnett. Mullin did not stop at one goal. In just 35 minutes, he scored another to effectively seal the game for the Red Dragons. He did this by skillfully putting the ball into the net’s corner.

Mullin, who was going through a difficult time, would be happy to have his scoring boots back. He failed to score in seven games and was forced to accept playing a supporting role for Phil Parkinson. But on Tuesday night, he salvaged a point against Forest Green, who were fighting for relegation, with an equaliser in the 93rd minute. This impressed McElhenney that he was back among the goals against a fierce opponent.

The Hollywood star took to after the game, and wrote: “Guess Paul is back to fitness

With his hat-trick, Mullin’s goal total for the season now stands at 16 goals in all competitions. Mullin’s effort ignited the team’s hopes for promotion and contributed to their first win in four games, so manager Phil Parkinson will surely be happy with it. Though Nigel Clough’s team still has a game in hand, the Red Dragons, who are now third in League Two, are only three points behind Mansfield Town, who are now atop the standings. Next Saturday’s matchup between Wrexham and Morecambe will be their next hurdle.
