Celtic has provided its perspective on the issue in response to the critical statement made by the Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic on the non-facilitation of The Celtic End for Celtic FC Women’s future fixtures.
The Jock Stein stand was not made available for this effort due to safety concerns, which the club’s administration cited as their main justification, although noting the dissatisfaction expressed by these fan organizations.
However, the club has said they were willing to open the standing section for the match.
A spokesperson for Celtic said: “The group were made aware that the Jock Stein would not be made available due to certain safety concerns relating to this specific area, but arrangements have been made by the Club to allow the group to attend within the Rail Seating Section.
“This has been communicated to the group and the Club hopes that as many supporters and supporter groups as possible come along to support Celtic FC Women at the upcoming Celtic Park matches, as well as all other matches.”
The Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic have said they will not be in attendance at the match anymore after they were denied access to the Jock Stien stand to create The Celtic End.
It’s a shame for the Ghirls. The Celtic End was a huge success last year, and it drew a large crown to Celtic Park fo the women’s matches, creating a great atmosphere.
