The Newcastle United winger is having an incredible season at Tyneside and is fast rising to the status of a local hero among the Toon Army—an astonishing thought given how few fans were anticipating his arrival.
Given that Gordon is one of those players you love to dislike and that he was also an Everton supporter, it’s safe to say Newcastle’s pursuit wasn’t greeted by the supporters with the same fervor as it was evidently by the board.
We all have to eat our words now though, it was 100% the right move.
