Chris Jack has revealed that Zeb Jacobs, the Academy Director for Rangers, will be joining Feyenoord in the Netherlands after the season.
On April 29, amidst rumors over Jacobs’ future, the journalist for Scotland Herald provided an update.
A nameless English club also made contact with him, but it looks like he will be relocating to the Netherlands.
“Rangers Academy Director Zeb Jacobs will depart the club at the end of the season to take up a position with Feyenoord,” Jack stated on Twitter.
Zeb Jacobs performed admirably for the Rangers.
Jacobs, who joined the team in 2021 and was given a promotion to the Academy Director role in June 2023, has played a significant role in helping the club nurture its young players.
He demonstrated his desire and vision for the club’s future by leading the Gers academy to become one of the greatest in the world.
Because of Jacobs’ creative approach to player development and his solid working ties within the organization, his departure will be much mourned.
His commitment to maximising the potential of every player and nurturing their skills to produce a new generation of talent was crucial for Rangers.
His plan complemented the club’s objectives to succeed in Scotland and throughout Europe.
In order to maintain continuity in Gers’ youth development approach, Zeb Jacobs needs to be replaced.
The club’s long-term success depends heavily on the Academy Director’s ability to recognize and develop young potential.
In addition to giving the first team access to excellent players, a robust academy system helps the club save and even make a substantial amount of money in the transfer market.
