Given how many teams are interested in signing Crysencio Summerville this summer, Leeds United should have an excellent opportunity of milking his interest for almost £40 million.

The one player that most Leeds supporters have practically come to terms with seeing the last of in a white shirt at Elland Road is Crysencio Summerville.

The winner of Championship Player of the Season is undoubtedly interested in returning to the Premier League and will not be playing in the EFL for a second season in 24/25.

No formal bid has been made, but contact and talks are ongoing according to Romano, while Chelsea and Liverpool are in the background as things stand:

More recently, it was disclosed that Newcastle United, who had allocated a substantial chunk of their money to bring in a new right-sided winger, was also keeping an eye on the Dutch player.

Summerville is being pursued by four top-half teams, so it’s difficult to see why he doesn’t make a transfer before the season begins at Elland Road.

From an optimistic standpoint, then, the question now lies more in how much Leeds can extract from this impending tale.

Romano also revealed that Brighton and Leeds anticipate receiving up to £40 million from this move, which is a great place to start:

Leeds stands to gain from the potential entry of two “big six” clubs, which might drastically alter the picture in the near future.

Summerville is going to be an exciting development, but it’s becoming more and more clear that whichever of these clubs wants to win is going to have to pay a large price.
